Institutional Privilege Holders

We encourage those with institutional privilege or access to funding to actively support participants in need. This can be done by contributing through grants or bursaries, incorporating support into institutional budgets, or making intentional financial offerings. Our goal is not charity but solidarity—acknowledging labor, fostering responsibility, and honoring the work we, as historically exploited people, make.

Join intimate groups of 7–8 participants in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras for the SEEDS for Change 2025 Learning Experience and Cultura Café Tours. These unique experiences offer a sensory approach to community engagement, connecting the past, present, and future through thematic learning encounters. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from and engage with Elders, local educators, artists, renowned scholars, and Afro-Indigenous women working to regenerate and preserve traditional ways of life often threatened by modern, fast-paced lifestyles. Your contribution includes accommodations, ground transportation, breakfast and lunch, translation services, cultural and educational activities, site visits, literature and materials, and honorariums for local artists and staff.

Itinerary

The programs are planned in three phases: preparation before arriving in El Salvador, the in-country learning experience/retreat, and a post-journey debriefing to maintain connection and support.

Independent Course Work/Credit/Project

SEEDS for Change collaborates with schools, NGOs, and postgraduate institutions to:
- Facilitate credit transfers if needed,
- Support professional development initiatives after the program, and
- Engage individuals and collectives in interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning across fields.

Be sure to contact your academic advisor, mentor, principal, or administrator well in advance to make your proposal.

Curriculum Integrative Practices

These transnational curricular initiatives aim to empower students, teachers, administrators, school principals, caregivers, and parents to reclaim agency in their engagement practices. This advocacy work is both essential and urgent. Each program is thoughtfully designed to incorporate embodied knowledge as a vital part of the lived experience.
